Cell phones

I just got my cell phone number that I'll have when I arrive in Israel:

0525668336

This number can be reached from the USA/Canada by dialing 011-972-525668336

I'll have it for the duration of my stay. However, be aware that it isn't functional in Egypt, don't think I'm dead - it's just that it's an Israeli phone company.. so they only service.. get ready for it... Israel.

The time difference is 7 hours, so if it is midnight on the East Coast, it's 7am same day in Jerusalem and Cairo.

From June 14th-17th I will be at

Jake is flying in the afternoon of the 16th. We went to middle school and half of high school together in Rochester. He's spending the month of July at Hebrew University with me but we decided he could fly in early and come visit Egypt with me.

We will be taking a bus from Tel Aviv the morning of the 18th (~9am) bound for Cairo, which will take about 10 hours.
The nights of the 18, 19, and 20 we will be in Cairo at
Desert Safary Hotel

I have wireless internet access in my room.

The night of the 21st we will be travelling overnight on the Egypt national railway to Luxor. We will be leaving around midnight and arriving around 9AM. We will check into our hotel for the nights of the 22 and 23 at
Sherief Hotel

I have internet access here.

The night of the 25th we will be on the train back up to Cairo from Aswan on Egyptian national railways again. We will be staying at the Desert Safary (where we stayed our first time in Cairo) the 26, 27, and 28.

We will be returning to Jerusalem to register the 29th.

As for at Hebrew University I can be contacted via mail:

Bethany Murphy
c/o Ulpan or Summer Courses, as applicable
Rothberg International School
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem
Boyar Building, Mount Scopus
Jerusalem, Israel 91905.

From July 2-31 I will be enrolled in the Jerusalem Ulpan. From August 8-31 I will be enrolled in Programme Scopus. So the line I have bolded depends on what program I'm participating in at the time. The intermediate week I'm planning on going to Jordan, to Petra at the very least, and other travel plans are up in the air during that gap week.

I don't know if I'll have internet access in my dorm room, I won't know until I get there, however there are computer labs. I'll have a cell phone there, but I don't know the number for about a week. If you want that number (and you're still reading at the end of this ridiculous email), let me know.

I won't have my return flight information until (shockingly) I am in Israel.
